AI Web Factory
Web Factory is where I test AI assisted design and build workflows end to end. I audit a small business's existing site, adapt a design system to their brand, and ship a production site. Research through deployment, alone, at close to zero build cost.
It is the same discipline as my systems work at a different scale, and it is where I find out what these tools actually do when nothing stands between the idea and the deploy.
The pipeline
Audit, brand into tokens, ship. It produces a site with working accessibility and SEO, and it checks that the content on the page is actually correct before it spends any credits building. I built a Claude skill that automates around 90% of it.
The part I am most interested in is that it learns. It keeps what worked, so it gets better at guessing my design preferences with each build, and it sets up tests so I can see which approaches land and which industries respond. About a hundred sites have gone through it so far, most of them as experiments rather than client work.
It is not finished. That is rather the point: it is the place where I find out what these tools can actually carry before I bring any of it near a production design system.
The audit runs before anything is designed. Nothing gets built until the findings are agreed.
What it is bad at
Two things, consistently. Choosing images: it has no reliable sense of whether a photograph is good, or whether it matches what the caption next to it says. And making design decisions on its own, which needs a lot of guidance before the output is worth keeping.
